ARC Raiders: What U4N Players Should Know Before the Expedit

The upcoming Expedition overhaul in ARC Raiders is changing how Caravan progress will be handled, and players are understandably paying close attention to what happens to their resources. If you have been collecting materials for ARC Raiders BluePrints or investing resources into your Caravan, the September reset does not mean everything you have worked for will simply disappear.

There is also no need to rush around spending everything before the deadline. ARC Raiders BluePrints, equipment, and other resources connected to your Caravan should be considered alongside the new Ermal Voucher system. The important part is understanding when the conversion happens and what you can do with the value afterward.

What Happens When Expedition 5 Ends

Embark Studios is pausing the Expedition system while it works on a larger rework planned to continue into early 2027. Because of this change, active Caravans will be wiped when Expedition 5 closes.

However, the wipe does not mean players lose the value of their invested materials. If your Caravan remains unfinished when the pause begins, those invested materials will automatically be converted into Ermal Vouchers. The same applies to a completed Caravan if you do not manually sign up for the next Expedition.

The conversion is scheduled to happen after the pause begins on September 29, 2026. The value is preserved on a 1:1 basis, so the resources you already put into the Caravan still have a use after the Expedition system goes offline.

Why You Do Not Need to Panic Spend

One of the easiest mistakes to make before a major seasonal reset is assuming that unused resources will become worthless. That is not the case here.

If you are already close to completing an Expedition goal, finishing it can still be worthwhile. Expedition 5 gives players a final opportunity to make a clean run and work toward the permanent Zenith Outfit. But if you are simply considering spending materials because you are worried they will vanish, there is much less reason to rush.

The upcoming conversion system is specifically designed to preserve the value of your Caravan investment. Instead of forcing players to burn through their remaining resources, the game turns that value into a currency that can be used during the Expedition hiatus.

How Ermal Vouchers Work

Once the system pause begins and the conversion is completed, the resulting Ermal Vouchers will be available for use throughout the hiatus. Ermal can be found in the Speranza lobby, where players can exchange the vouchers for several different types of rewards.

One option is to use vouchers together with ARC Parts and firearm trades. Ermal has a rotating selection that can include weapons, blueprints, and consumables. Since the stock changes weekly, it can be worth checking back instead of spending everything immediately.

This is especially useful for players who want to keep improving their equipment while Expeditions are unavailable. The voucher system gives Caravan materials a second purpose rather than leaving them locked behind a discontinued seasonal system.

Gear and Cosmetic Options

Ermal is not limited to practical equipment. His inventory can also include premium character cosmetics, emotes, and backpack attachments.

These items obviously serve a different purpose from weapons or consumables, but they provide another way to spend the value you carried over from your Caravan. Players who already have the equipment they need may prefer to use their vouchers on customization instead.

There is also a simpler option for anyone who does not want to deal with a rotating shop. Ermal allows players to sell their vouchers back in exchange for standard Coins. This gives players more freedom to decide how they want to manage their converted Caravan value.

The Dates Players Should Watch

September 8, 2026, is when the Expedition 5 departure window opens. Players who want one final clean run should use this opportunity to pursue the permanent Zenith Outfit before the system closes.

On September 22, Weekly Trials will enter a temporary two-week pause. This happens shortly before the Expedition system itself goes offline, so regular Trial participants should keep the timing in mind.

September 29, 2026, is the major deadline. Expedition 5 closes, the system enters its planned hiatus, and eligible Caravan progress is converted into Ermal Vouchers.

A Sensible Way to Prepare

The best approach is to separate your final Expedition goals from your long-term resource management. If you want the Zenith Outfit or another Expedition reward, concentrate on completing the necessary run before the deadline. If you are not chasing those rewards, there is no strong reason to spend resources simply because the reset is approaching.

Once the conversion takes place, you can take your time deciding what to do with the vouchers. Depending on Ermal's weekly stock, you may find useful weapons, blueprints, consumables, or cosmetics. If none of those options appeal to you, turning the vouchers into Coins gives you another practical choice.

For players who still need specific equipment, this transition can also be a good time to plan future purchases carefully. Rather than making rushed decisions before September 29, you can focus on your actual needs and consider whether it makes sense to buy ARC Raiders Station-related services or resources elsewhere only after seeing what the converted vouchers provide.

The main point is that the Expedition reset is not something players need to fear. Your Caravan progress is being wiped as part of the system overhaul, but its invested value is being preserved through Ermal Vouchers. Finish the goals that matter, remember the September 29 deadline, and then use the voucher system at your own pace.
